Magic on the Greens

Henrick Stenson overcame the difficult conditions at TPC Sawgrass last week with a brilliant, flawless 66 in the final round to claim victory at The Players.  With a new found confidence in his game Stenson played some magical shots to the baked out greens with calm effortless precision, and topped it all off with an excellent touch on the slippery putting surfaces. I see him now in the upper echelon of Tour Players, destined to win a Major or more in the coming months. I’m sure his trusty caddy Fanny Sunesson will continue to impart her hard earned knowledge and confidence as she did with my mate Nick Faldo in winning his many Major titles. What a team they have become.  I was disappointed he didn’t take a dive off the 18th green after the winning putt, but then again he doesn’t like to get his clothes wet!!

I’m off to San Antonio this weekend for the Valero Texas Open and the start of a 3 week Texas swing. Tune in to CBS Sports at 3 pm EST Sat and Sun.
